A The City of Samba é uma curta com cerca de seis minutos, realizada pelo publicitário brasileiro Jarbas Agnelli em parceria com o australiano Keith Loutit. A música, de Jarbas Angnelli, é uma espécie de samba desenhado com a narrativa do movimento das imagens. O filme usa a fotografia de tilt shift em que há uma inclinação do plano óptico da objetiva em relação ao plano de filmagem, designado por tilt, e o movimento em paralelo da lente relativamente ao plano de imagem designado por shift o que faz com que as personagens e os objectos fotografados se pareçam com maquetes, e miniaturas ou milhares de brinquedos que interagem entre si. As filmagens foram realizadas durante o carnaval de 2011 (com excelentes enquadramentos), na cidade do Rio de Janeiro. Segundo Jarbas Angnelli, foram tiradas 168.978 fotos em 5 dias. Pelo facto de recorrerem também à técnica de time-lapse (processo cinematográfico em que cada fotograma ou quadro (frame) de filme é captado a uma velocidade muito mais lenta do que aquela em que o filme será reproduzido. Quando visto a uma velocidade normal, o tempo parece correr mais depressa e assim parece saltar, lapsing) dá a sensação que se trata de um filme feito com recurso à técnica stop motion.

Na minha opinião o trabalho está muito bom e a música não podia estar mais bem composta. Qual é a vossa opinião?
